Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury, NC

Who knew a park could be SO MUCH fun?! First of all, I had never heard of it until my friend and neighbor, Kate invited Will and me to go. It was Wed. April 4th. It's about a 50 minute drive from our house but well worth the fun that awaited us!

Here are the "cool" and fun things to do at the park:

1) Mini Golf --which we didn't do. Will is a bit too young
2) HUGE, massive playground --biggest I've ever seen in one place
3) Carousel --BIG hit with Will. See his picture below
4) Train ride --about 6 mins through the woods, over a bridge and stop in 2 tunnels. Also a BIG hit with Will.
5) Mini zoo --fun
6) Mini petting zoo --Will liked the donkey
7) Paddle Boats/Canoes  --we didn't do these either
8) Various picnic areas and tables --all shaded and in great spots. We packed a picnic lunch. :)
9) Gem mine --Will had a blast doing this too.
10) Camping --I want to take Rick back here with Will. I also want to take Annika/Henrik here.
