We spent the turkey holiday with The Tureks who came down from MI. Amanda also joined us in the festivites! Yay.
On Thanksgiving morning, Rick and I ran the Charlotte Turkey Trot, an 8K (4.97 miles) in Charlotte, South Park. It was a beautiful sunny day with race temps around 50 degrees. We both ran in short sleeves. I love to run in this weather! The best part of the race was beating Rick by 2 minutes!!! :) It will probably never happen again but I'm going to eat this one up. I finished with 8:39 minute miles and 42.30 minutes. I'm very proud of myself. :) Will was home with Papa and Brunga Turek giving them a "run" for their money. LOL. We had so much fun and will plan to Turkey Trot run every year. I've been running for about 2 years straight and love it. It's seriously like they say, a runners high. You are addicted. Next up... Cooper Bridge Run. Here are pix from the Thankgiving holiday.
