MICHIGAN vacation --Aug 13th to Aug 21st --PINE LAKE part

This is a view from my parent's deck on Pine Lake. Awww. So relaxing and peaceful. It's morning and I have a full cup of coffee which I am thoroughly enjoying while looking at this scene.

So it's off to Kalamazoo with the Johnsons. We have two cars packed to the gills. Papa Johnson, Rick, Jody and Will are in one vehicle. Debbie, Jenna and Julie are in another. We have luggage, strollers, back packs and are headed to the lake! Julie flew in from Minnesota so we could all have a family vacay together.

We were on our way to meet new baby of the family, Henrik Drake Johnson. My brother Branden, his wife Rachel and big sister Annika welcomed Henrik into the world on July 25th. Will has another cousin!

9lbs 14oz | 21.5 inches

Yup --he was a whopping, almost 10 pounder! Good work Rachel, you birthed a one month old. You go girl! :)

This part of the trip consisted of lake play, bon fires, hanging out, cribbage tournament (Ricky won!), cooking, coffee drinkin, waterskiing, a Lake Michigan beach trip and eating lots of Godfather's Pizza. YUM! We had alot of fun and relaxation with the fam. Branden/Rachel/Annika/Henrik all stayed with us at the lake house. We rented a RV for the driveway so that is where they stayed. Will and Annika seeing each other for first time. They are high fiving. It was so great watching them play together. They are six months apart in age. Henrik is not quite two years younger than Will.

Lake Michigan day. Thanks Marie (Rachel's Mom) for the hospitality!! I was able to reconnect with one of my best friends, Tara, her daughter Grace and new baby brother, Gavin.

This is Henrik under the pop up tent a the lake. He slept the whole time. :) He likes hearing the crashing of waves --white noise!
