Will's tubes today

Will's ear tubes went great today. He was such a trooper, especially since I had to wake him up at 5:35am, three hours ahead of normal schedule. He was a little angel in the doctors office, just hanging out without any fussiness at all. Rick was smart and brought the portable DVD player and we played him Vegetales, "God Made You Special."

The procedure was 5 minutes long once he was inside the surgery room. They hit him with a mixture of tylenol and versed right before he was taken back. It took about 10 minutes for the drugs to kick in. In surgery, they use a gas mask to knock him out for just s short time. He had infections in both ears so they sucked out the infections, including puss. He was a bit fussy when he first woke up but they said several times, that was to be expected. He ate a whole bowl of cheerios in the car on the ride home.

We arrived at the surgery center at 6:15am. They took him back into surgery at 7:28am.  We were driving home by 8:15am. Gotta love how fast it all went.

He was sooo loopy when he got home today but the drugs finally wore off after a couple hours. At first, he couldn't even walk or stand, poor guy. Once he ate a big breakfast, he was a new person! Thanks to God for a good surgery. Now lil man is napping hard.
