Santa Claus

So Will has LOVED Santa Claus --well, at least last year. Last years photo shoot went so well, that the real-bearded Santa asked if he could use my picture on his website. And that picture is still there. Check it out: ww.santachuck.com. Also, that picture was so good, we used it on our Christmas card last year. For those who can't remember, here is a look back:

That experience is not what happened this year! I have been prepping Will with Santa things for the past couple of weeks. I bought him a Christmas book. I point out Santa in all the stores. I "Ho Ho Ho" to him. I think to myself that I'm doing a great job. haha.

So when my brother Branden, Rachel and Annika came to visit. We knew we would like to get them a photo with Santa together. When we walked into the room where Santa was sitting on his chair. I could feel Will gripping my arm so frickin hard. I thought, "Oh no. This isn't going to be good." I hadn't even sat him on his lap and he was acting like, "Do NOT let me down Mom!" So Branden handed Santa Annika. And I handed Santa Will for his other leg. This is the best shot that we got:

They were in full terror mode. We took about six shots this way and then we caved. I asked the lady taking the photos if we could try to jump into the photo to see if it would be better. And it was but not your best Santa photo, that's for sure!

I have already submitted the Santa photo to Ellen so we'll have to wait and see on that one. Overall, it was a great experience and we know that these photos will be keepsakes for the future! I can already see Will's graduation board from high school. HA!
