Happy 4th "GOLDEN" Birthday to Willy Dilly!!

Where does the time go? Holy smokes! It goes as fast as everyone says it does. My little baby is four years old already! What is a "Golden" Birthday? It's the birthday when you turn the same age as the day. So because Will was born on September 4th, his golden birthday is when he turns 4 years old. You only have one golden birthday in your life. I am November 10th so my golden birthday was when I was 10 years old. Here is how we celebrated Will's golden birthday:

 

• It was Wednesday, September 4th, so its not a school day for Will. He got to sleep in and he slept until about 8:15am. Papa Dan and Grandma Con Bon are here to celebrate Will's birthday. Yay!We got ready and headed to Cracker Barrel for birthday breakfast.

 

• I decorated the outside of his room with balloons so when he woke up and opened his door, he saw balloons all in the hallway.

 

• Before breakfast, we took a few pictures outside in the driveway.

 
• I packed a #4 candle and gave to the waitress to put in Will's pancake. Four people came out from the back and sang Happy Birthday to Will. He was super shy and didn't know what to do, which is not what I expected at all! He's so totally into all his friend's birthdays and he wants to be the one sitting next to the birthday person so he can belt out the Happy Birthday song. This time, he turned around and stared at the floor. I was laughing! I captured it all on video. :)

 

• Off to errands for our big birthday celebration on Saturday the 7th.

 

• Then to the pool where we swam and swam and swam. Also we hit the water slide quite a bit! Will is now going down the waterslide by himself. Before that, it was Mommy or Daddy taking him down in our lap. It's a nice break now that he goes down by himself :)

 

• Back to the house to make homemade pizzas! MMMMM. Will made himself a personal pizza of cheese, pepperoni, mushroom and bacon.

 

• Then after pizza, we ate birthday cupcakes! Mmmm. The homemade cupcakes come this weekend at the Pirate birthday party. On this night, we bought some store cupcakes from BJs.

•  And I put in a trick candle that kept relighting! :) This is Will's reaction about the 4th time it relit.

• Funny story is that his school birthday party was today. When he woke up this morning, since there was another party, he asked if he was going to be five today. LOL!
