September 2012 --Funny Will stories

  • We just got home from preschool. I started a roast in the crock pot this morning. When Will walked in the door he says, "I smell rice and noodles." LOL!

  • A remarkable story to note. :) Lately, Will has been staying dry at night, no pee-pee in his pull-up. He only wears a pull-up to bed at night. All day, including naps, he is in underwear. He has the cutest Calvin Klein boxer briefs! I need to get a picture of that :) It was last Saturday morning. I woke up around 7:10am and looked over at Rick. He was awake and looking at the morning news on his IPAD. So we turned on ESPN Sports Center, the usual station on in our house daily which is then linked to the video monitor. The video monitor can be seen right on our TV screen. We see Will wake up around 7:20 (WAY early for little man. He usually sleeps until 9am) and then he climbs out of his crib. Yes, we still need to convert it to toddler bed. We need to do that this weekend. Rick says, "Let's have him come down here and crawl in with us." So we wait. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. I am wondering where he is. So I go upstairs. He's in his bathroom, pulling up his pajama bottoms. I look and there and he just got done pee-ing in the potty all by himself! He says, "Daddy's gonna be so proud of me." Awww. Lil man is growing up, way too fast!

  • When we were in the Soda Shop in Davidson, they have a see through glass case with all sorts of candy inside. Will sees all the big lollipops like the picture below. He starts saying, "Oh, here's a pink one. And a yellow one. And there's one with beautiful colors (that one was multi-colored)." Another LOL!

  • We are in music class on Wednesday mornings. The program is called Music Together. Will loves his music class and is so excited to go! When its over, he is sad and says "I don't want to leave." His favorite part is playing with instruments. When they dump out the musical instruments on to the floor to pick out, he goes for the "drums" every single time. His version of drums is a tambourine and a stick.

  • When we were down on the dock, feeding the ducks (here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MGuJZobEjE&list=UU0ooAB3Qd7nAQE851qEm9zQ&index=1&feature=plcp ), I saw a red spot on his arm. I said, "How did you get that mark on your arm?" He looks at me and says, "Nevermind." WHAT?!

  • Will's favorite app on the IPAD is Tiger Woods Golf. He's so good at it, that he knows all the terms like bunker, green, fairway, rough, put, etc. He requests that I put golf on TV for him to watch. So I turn on any PGA tour or the golf channel. He would actually like to watch golf over any cartoon. Is this my kid? He tells me when someone hits a bunker. He tells me if someone made it in the hole. Then he says, "See. Now he's happy." LOL! And to top it off, he has a play golf set to play with. Will and Rick go outside and hit golf balls. Will actually has a fantastic swing and hits it straight! Future golfer for Will? Um. We'll see!
