We got the chance to go to Bald Head Island off the coast of North Carolina with some friends which also happened to be our fifteen year anniversary. The picture above shows us during our dinner at the "Club." I had to go totally southern with Shrimp & Grits for dinner. Yum!
This was Will's first experience at the ocean. He loved it! The waves were very fun for him but he didn't understand at first that he couldn't barrel out into them which resulted in a face plant. The waves were pretty rough the first day so I kept a good hold on his little hand to prevent him from getting pummelled. After the first day, he got used to the feeling and was able to keep his balance a bit more. Then he took a liking to a boogie board that had a strap. He hauled that thing around like it was his lost puppy dog. So cute. We had a great time relaxing from Wed-Sun at the beach every single day with dinners by water at night. All in all, it was a fantastic trip!
